How to Make the Perfect Cup of Coffee

Cold Brew

A coarse-coarse grind is ideal for making cold-brewed coffee. Cold brew is a full-immersion process, usually for hours at a time to achieve maximum strength and flavor.

Add coarse coffee grounds to the filter.

Gradually pour in water until 3/4 full.

Brew at room temperature or in refrigerator for 24 hours.

Add ice and enjoy!

French Press

The best setting for French press coffee is a coarse, even grind to ensure a consistent brew.

Boil water in your kettle.

Add coarse coffee grounds to your french press.

Steadily pour your hot water over the coffee grounds.

Replace lid and wait for 4 minutes.

Push down the plunger until it makes contact with the grounds.

Pour into your mug and take a sip!

Pour Over

A medium-coarse grind is perfect for a large pour-over. If you are using a smaller, cone-shaped pour-over, use a medium-fine coffee grind instead.

Boil water in your kettle

Add medium ground coffee to the coffee filter

Start a timer and pour just enough water to cover the coffee in a spiral motion from the inside out.

Wait 30 seconds for the water to stop dripping through and pour again in the same spiral motion.

Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.

Moka Pot

A fine-coarse grind is perfect for making moka pot coffee.

Grind your coffee medium-fine setting, then fill the filter basket.

Fill with boiled water to the line in the bottom of the brewer.

Insert the filter basket into the brewer bottom and fill the basket with coffee and level until even. Brush away loose grounds on the top edge of the filter basket.

Screw the top and bottom together, while holding hot pads.

Put the brewer on the stove at a medium temperature and turn the handle away from the heat, with the top lid open.

Wrap the bottom of the pot in a chilled bar towel or run under cold water. When the coffee stops bubbling, pour into your favorite cup and sip away!
