DIY Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

October is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean that pumpkin-everything needs to come to an end as well! 

Besides the classic pumpkin spice latte, one of the most popular seasonal pumpkin drinks is the iconic pumpkin cream cold brew. However, you may be shocked to learn that a lot of larger coffee chains use artificial flavors, sugars, and even artificial colorants to make their pumpkin drinks stand out (not ideal!) Here at Coffee Gator, we want you to enjoy high-quality coffee without compromising on the quality of ingredients, so we developed this recipe that uses simple but flavorful ingredients. 

Made in a similar way to some other recipes we’ve published, like the salted caramel sweet cream cold brew, the pumpkin cream cold brew is actually quite simple, and once you make it once, we guarantee you’ll be wanting more.

Ingredients you'll need:

• 1 teaspoon of pureed pumpkin 
• Cold brew
• Ice
• 2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream
• 2 tbsp of milk of your choice
• Sweetener of choice (we recommend maple syrup for the perfect fall flavor) to taste
• Ground cinnamon and ground cloves (alternatively, you can use pre-made pumpkin spice)

Pumpkin Cream

1. Add the heavy whipping cream, milk, maple syrup (to taste), and pureed pumpkin to a cup or a bowl. Sprinkle in cinnamon and ground cloves (or your pumpkin spice mix) to taste. Add
2. Gently whisk the ingredients together, focusing on mixing in the pumpkin puree. This is to ensure that no large pumpkin pieces get in the way when we whip the ingredients together in the next step.
3. After some mixing, use a premium handheld frother to mix all the ingredients together until they form a thicker, fluffier cream. 
4. In a separate glass, pour your cold brew over ice.
5. Top the cold brew with the sweet pumpkin cream, and (this is optional) lightly dust the pumpkin cream with cinnamon for presentation. Drink and enjoy!
